Calibration Input - Signal
The Calibration Input supports settings that are independent of whether the logical sampling is done using the Deferred Eye or the Calibration sampler. These settings help configure the input for use in a given application.
Termination Type |
|
DC / AC |
The Calibration input can be either AC or DC coupled. AC coupled signals provide no DC voltage to the applied signal. Both AC and DC terminations are 50 ohm. |
Input Term. Level |
|
mV |
When DC coupled, the voltage level of the DC termination can be set. The allowable range is from -2V to +3.3V and is set using this control. DC terminations are often needed for positively powered test signals and reduce the current stress on customer test drivers. |
Cal Input Delay |
|
ps |
Even when Deferred Eye sampling is done, the raw Calibration Input sampling flip-flop must have a precise sampling time delay. This value is set here. The Cal Input Delay matches the "Sampler Time" setting if the sampler mode is CalInput. The "Sampler Time" is independent of the Cal Input Delay when Deferred Eye sampling is done. |
Cal Input Threshold |
|
mV |
This is the voltage threshold used by the Calibration sampling flip-flop. A value of 0 mV is the average of the applied input. Settings can be positive and negative. |
